I keep finding interesting things on the internet, deciding that I’d like to own one, looking desperately around for the ‘buy me’ button and then realising that it isn’t a product at all, but an inspired idea from a designer which hasn’t found its way into production yet.

The latest case of this syndrome is the Peg Pencil from Japanese designer Yuta Watanabe. There are more equally lovely things on his site.

But no ‘buy me’ button…

I’d really like one of these. Too bad I only just found out about them and that they were a limited edition at least six months ago. They’re also pretty pricey for a candle holder, which let’s face it, is a luxury in anyone’s life…

I got my hands on the iPhone!

I couldn’t resist a little to trip to the Apple Store while in New York, to goggle at the iPhone. It was crazy, they had stacks and stacks of them with huge queues of sales people selling them with handheld card machines. Seriously, they must have been selling one a second.

Due to the difficulties in unlocking the iPhone reliably, I didn’t buy one to take back to the UK (You have NO idea how hard that was!) but I did have a play with it and it WAS fantastic… Read the rest of this entry…
